New Haven, CT (September 15, 2010) - Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, will unveil the first lock specifically designed to seamlessly integrate into the digital home. The lock will be introduced at CEDIA EXPO, September 22-26, 2010.
These new capacitive touchscreen deadbolt and lever locks are the first products in the Yale Real Living™ portfolio of residential access control and home security solutions. The new intelligent lock, which can be integrated with existing Z-Wave or Zigbee home automation or access control systems, uses Control4, the premier platform for today’s digital home, as its user interface. In fact, the new locks support Control4’s "Scene Set-Up," allowing the homeowner to create personalized events or scenes triggered by the push of a button from anywhere in the home or remotely via the Internet.
With its one-touch residential access control of the home’s entryways and protected interior doors, the new Yale Real Living Intelligent Lock enhances the Control4 platform and makes everyday living easier and safer. Features of the new locks include a capacitive touch, push-button lighted keypad, voice guidance/response, and master/supervisor codes which prevent unauthorized programming.
CEDIA EXPO is the #1 tradeshow in the residential electronics systems industry. Exhibitors include industry leaders in home security and control, home entertainment, environmental control, energy management, lighting control, home health, and much more.
