Yale has officially celebrated the partnership with Philips Hue lights at IFA, a leading tech trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances in Berlin.
Thanks to this new integration, Yale’s Smart Sync and SR Alarms can be integrated to Philips Hue lights, bringing a new level of security to homes and allowing consumers to benefit from additional features contributing to the safety and security of their homes.
With the Philips Hue integration, the Yale alarm triggers red flashing lights when the alarm is set off, offering an additional security element to the home. The security feature works to startle intruders, as well as alerting neighbours and passers-by of a disturbance, doubling the deterrent for burglars. For added reassurance, Philips Hue lights pulsate to indicate when the alarm is armed and disarmed.
The Yale alarms allow users to check in on their homes from anywhere in the world, receive real time notifications on the Yale Home App when the alarm is triggered as well as serving as a reminder to arm their homes as they arrive or leave with geolocation reminders.
The alarm system itself can be activated with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant (UK only) through voice commands.
