Have a Question About the Nest x Yale Lock?

Battery life

Your lock uses 4 AA batteries which will last approximately one year with normal usage. Continuous warnings start approximately 5 weeks before the batteries must be replaced.

Do I need anything else to make it work remotely?

Nest Connect is included in the box when you purchase the lock. You won’t need to purchase anything else to make your lock work or control it remotely.

How does it work with other Nest products?

The Nest × Yale Lock works together with the Nest Secure alarm system to make coming home easy. You can enable an option in the Nest app to disarm your alarm when your door is unlocked.

Is the lock weatherproof?

The Nest X Yale lock is tested to ANSI/BHMA standards, and is resistant to the following temperatures.
Grade 2. Not suitable for gates.

Outside Temperature Range:
-30°C to 60°C = -22°F to 140°F

Inside Temperature Range:
-15°C to 70°C = 5°F to 158°F

Will the lock fit on my door?

The Nest X Yale lock fits on most standard preparation doors in North America.

Door thickness: 1 3/8" to 2 1/4"
Backset: 2 3/8" or 2 3/4"
Borehole: 2 1/8"
