About Yale

Yale, one of the oldest international brands in the world, is the most famous company in the locking industry. A family business founded in America Linus Yale Jr. experimented with a lock based on a mechanism that was first used by the ancient Egyptians over 4,000 years ago.
Thus, he invented the famous ratchet mechanism, which is still widely used in the security industry.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the company grew around the world and employed more than 12,000 people.
In August 2000, Yale was acquired by the ASSA ABLOY group.
