  • The Yale Access App is needed to control your Yale products from your mobile device. The Yale App is available for iPhone and Android. Download the Yale App from the App Store or Google Play depending on your device.

    Once you have downloaded the Yale App log in to or create a Yale Account.

  • This article provides steps to add a new device to a home in the Yale Access App.

    Once physical installation is complete, you may wish to set up your device so that it is accessible using the Yale Access App.

    Before you get started, download the Yale Access App from either the Apple Store or Google Play depending on whether you use an iOS or Android phone:

    Yale Access devices come with a QR code that can be used to set up the device in the Yale Access App. If you no longer have a QR code associated with the device, the serial number can be used during setup.

    1. Open the Yale Access App
    2. Select the menu in the top-left corner
    3. Select Set up a Device to access the QR code scanner
    4. Scan the code. If you are unable to scan it, select Can’t Scan the Code to set up with the Serial Number
    5. Follow in-app instructions to complete setup steps.
  • What is Yale Access?

    Yale Access is the new ecosystem from Yale which allows you to control your smart lock with our Yale Access app, along with adding a number of accessories including the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge and the Yale Smart Keypad.

    Locks connected to Yale Access also benefit functionality including:

    • Activity monitoring – Always know who is coming and when
    • Guest access – Manage access for anyone 
    • Remote functions – Control and monitor your door from anywhere in the world (requires the Connect Wi-Fi bridge)

    The following products are compatible with the Yale Access Ecosystem

    • Yale Linus

    This list will grow as we release new products, any new smart locking products will be fully compatible with the Yale Access ecosystem. 

  • iOS

    Yale devices are compatible with newer phone models running iOS 14 or greater*. Information to help you determine the compatible iOS devices is available here.

    Android

    Yale devices are compatible with most Android phones equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 and running Android 8* or higher. We routinely test with phones from the major manufacturers, including Samsung, Google, and HTC.

    In some cases on specific phones, the Android Bluetooth stack can get stuck in a bad state, and may need to be re-started by the user by turning Bluetooth on and off. Below are specific devices where performance has been inconsistent:

    • OnePlus Phones 
    • LG V10
    • LG G4
    • LG V10
    • LG G4
    • Realme 7
    • Huawei P30
