Yale expands its successful partnership with Samsung SmartThings

We are excited to announce another expansion of our successful partnership with Samsung. Imagine managing your entire home security system and all your smart devices without juggling multiple apps or losing track of what’s happening at your front door. Well, that future is here, thanks to Yale and Samsung SmartThings' exciting new partnership expansion.

What does this integration offer?

The Smart Video Doorbell offers HD live video, two-way audio communication, and instant notifications when the doorbell rings or motion is detected. With this integration, you can easily view visitors and hear what’s happening at your door remotely via the SmartThings app, enhancing control and awareness.

Through compatible Samsung devices such as smart TVs and smart refrigerators, you can see who is at the door without needing to access your phone. Additionally, with our Linus^® Smart Lock L2 or Linus^® L2 Lite, trusted visitors can be granted access remotely, ensuring important guests and deliveries never go unnoticed.

For example, while busy in the kitchen, you could confirm a visitor’s identity via your smart fridge and unlock the door using the Linus^® smart lock, all without interruption. You will also receive real-time notifications directly to your phone for essential updates, including battery status and door lock activity. This ensures continuous monitoring and control over home security devices integrated within the SmartThings platform.

Broader Integration Across Yale Devices

This new integration complements other Yale Smart Security products supported by SmartThings, including the Linus^® Smart Lock L2 and L2 Lite, Yale Smart Opener for gates and garages, Yale Smart Safe, and Yale Smart Cabinet Lock. Together, these devices enable users to create custom routines and automate various security and home management tasks.

Within the SmartThings app, routines such as “Leaving Home” can be programmed to perform multiple actions simultaneously, adjusting lights, regulating home temperature, activating the Yale Smart Alarm, and locking doors using the Linus^® L2
