  • The Yale Libi® Digital Lever Keyed is simple to install. In most cases it can be installed with just a screwdriver and the provided allen key. Click here to view our installation video.

  • The lock is designed for residential entry doors and is not designed for gates or applications where the interior of the lock is exposed to outdoor elements.

For homes located near the coast, we recommend installing your lock in areas less exposed to direct wind and salt spray. Positioning it under a sheltered porch or using a weather guard can help minimize direct exposure to the elements. To keep your lock in optimal condition, we advise occasionally wiping it with a damp cloth to remove any salt build-up. This will help maintain its appearance and long-term performance.

Troubleshooting

  • The Yale Libi® Digital Lever Keyed is powered with one 9V battery. If your battery runs flat, you’ll still be able to use your mechanical key to open the door. When the battery is low, the lock will sound 10 times and flash red 10 times on the keypad.

  • If you have lost your programming code it’s best to reset your lock back to factory settings by holding down the programming button for 5 seconds. You can use a small pin or the provided allen key to reach the reset button.

  • There may be a few reasons why your batteries are draining faster than expected.

First, check to make sure the cable on the inside of the lock is securely fastened. To do this, you will need to remove the battery cover from your lock, remove the battery and then unscrew the two mounting screws and dismantle the interior side of the lock. Check that the cable is snugly fit into the socket on the interior side of the lock.

  • Entry Codes must consist of 4 to 10 digits in length to register and up to 70 user codes can be saved. User codes must also be entered within 5 seconds (while touchscreen is active) or the process will have to be restarted.

  • To fix this:

    1. Remove the key from the cylinder. Then, remove the exterior lever and cylinder from the exterior body.
    2. Reinsert the cylinder on the exterior shaft so that the pin chamber will point the same direction as your exterior lever. Then, place the exterior lever over the cylinder and insert the key into the cylinder. Rotate the key 90 degrees clockwise then push the lever and cylinder in so it sits flush, then tighten the set screw to fix the lever in place. The key must be rotated 90 degrees clockwise for the key to be able to be used to lock and unlock the door.
