Introducing the Yale Unity Entrance Lock Fire Rated version

The Unity Entrance Lock Fire Rated version has been designed with all necessary hardware to achieve AS1905.1-2015 certification integrated into the escutcheons. There's no additional hardware to install or modifications required.

In order to comply with egress requirements in common multi-residential applications, the Yale Unity Entrance Lock Fire Rated version has removed the Digital Deadlocking (Secure Mode) feature. 

The Yale Unity Entrance Lock Fire Rated version works with the Yale Access app and is compatible with popular accessories, including the Yale Smart Keypad and Connect Wi-Fi Bridge.

• Certified for use (up to 2hrs) on most popular fire door types in accordance with AS1905.1-2015.
• Digital Deadlocking is disabled for fire door applications.

New Features

Contactless Key Tags registration, without needing to setup the Yale Access App.

Designed to support professionals, including builders who seek to quickly install and set up the lock on-site, Contactless Key Tags can now be paired to the Yale Unity Entrance Locks (Build dates from April 2021) without the need to download the App.

The steps below outline the process. Further information on setup can be found in the sales kit material.

1. Install and power up the lock.
2. Remove the battery cover on the inside escutcheon.
3. Hold down the R button, located next to the internal electronic snib, for 3 seconds.
4. The lock LED will illuminate a solid white colour.
5. Register the contactless key tags by tapping them onto the lock where the RFID symbol is.
6. You will hear a beep for each registered tag.
7. Once finished, press the R button again to stop the registration mode.
8. The contactless key tags paired will now be able to unlock and lock the door.

Important information on pre-contactless key registration.  

• If extra key tags are required to be added to the lock at a later date, key tags previously registered, will be removed.
• Once the lock is initially registered by the owner using the Yale Access App, all previous paired key tags will be automatically deleted.
• If the lock production date is prior to the noted build date, the Yale Access App will need to be paired to the lock, the firmware can then be updated through the App. The lock will then need to complete a factory reset through the App as well as a hard factory reset on the lock. Note: Production date can be found on the label located under the battery cover adjacent to the unique QR code used for registration. 

Installation

The Yale Unity Entrance Lock Fire Rated version follows the same installation process as our standard Yale Unity Entrance Lock.
