Yes, the Cameras night vision range is up to 6 meters.

The weight is 106g.

The button on the rear of the camera serves two functions: restarting the device or performing a factory reset.

• To restart the camera:
  Press and release the button quickly (hold for about 1 second).
  The LED will turn red, then flash green once the restart is complete.

• To perform a factory reset:
  Press and hold the button for approximately 12 seconds, until you hear a confirmation sound.
  This will reset the camera to its factory settings.

Yale Home is the application to use on your mobile phone. The app is available on Apple App Store or Google Play.

Download the Yale Home App from the App Store or Google Play depending on your device.

Once you have downloaded the Yale Home app you will need to click on create an account or sign in if you already have an account.

Yes,  a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection is required to connect your Yale Smart Indoor Camera to your network. 

NOTE: 5 Ghz Wi-Fi conenction is not supported.

No, the network connection is via Wi-Fi,  you will need a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection to your router.

Yes, if you are using a mesh network, please make sure that the camera is connecting to the closest mesh node via 2.4 GHz.

The QR code is located under the base of the Yale Smart Indoor Camera.

The Yale Smart Indoor Camera can be placed on surface or be wall mounted with the supplied fittings. 

Once the Camera has been setup with the Yale Home app, you can view the physical installation instructions in the device settings:

• Open the Yale Home app.
• From the dashboard, tap on the Camera.
• Tap the Settings icon from the top right corner.
• Scroll down to Installation Guide and select.

The camera head sits on a ball joint, the head can rotate 360 degrees and tilt back and forth around 90 degrees allowing you to set the camera in a position for your preferred field of view.

The viewing angle is 110 degrees and the camera has 4 x digital zoom with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).

The Yale Smart Indoor Camera does not have an internal battery or the option to install batteries. The unit is powered using the USB-C cable and plug provided.

Yes, you can! While your Apple Watch won’t show the live video feed, it will mirror notifications from the Yale Home app on your iPhone. That means you can get alerts on your watch — including a thumbnail notification — whenever motion is detected.

No. The Yale Smart Indoor Camera does not support SD cards or any form of removable storage.

The camera uses secure built‑in internal storage to save motion‑triggered video clips. This design helps protect your footage from tampering and ensures reliable recording without needing to install or manage additional hardware.

If you want extended video history, you can add a 30‑day cloud storage subscription in the Yale Home app.
