Actuator & Module

  • Hard wired/wall switch: 10

    Wireless: 30

  • Yes, windows wider than 900mm must use double actuators connected by a synchronisation loom.

  • Yes, by adjusting the slide switch on the actuator. For further detail, please see Step 7 “Set Chain Length and Module Removal" in the installation instructions here.

  • Refer to wiring diagram. Note: The actuators are not polarity sensitive.

  • We recommend a maximum sash width of 900mm for a single actuator. For other sash constraints refer to “the selector chart” available on the website.

Remote

  • Yes. In fact, Group 1 will always contain all windows in the home.

  • Group 1 is the default group for all Window Actuators, giving you total control of all windows at once. No actuators can be removed from this group. This group means that you can use it to close all windows with a single button press, handy for when leaving home, in poor weather, or closing up for the night.

  • You can set the remote and actuators into 'Engineering Mode' to check window function. For further details, see remote instructions here.

Yale Connect Plus Hub 2

  • Power connection is established through the wall socket and via the USB-C port into your Connect Plus Hub 2.

Check that the USB-C is connected properly at the Yale Connect Plus Hub 2, and that the USB cable is plugged in at the other end to the power adapter, into the wall socket, and powered on.

  • First, it is important to check your Wi-Fi in the house.  Check if you have internet connection through other devices in the home.  If there are other connection issues, please refer to your Router or ISP for assistance.

If the Wi-fi connectivity is OK elsewhere but just not connecting to your Yale Connect Plus Hub 2, resetting the Connect Plus Hub 2 via the Wi-Fi Pair button will trigger it to start a new Wi-Fi search.

Sometimes if the connection has been lost for some reason, the hub will just need to search again and reconnect to its known previous Wi-Fi connection.

  • 30 actuator and 4 remotes

Yale Home App

  • Yes, the Open and Close buttons on the Wall Switch and on the Remote also function as a Stop button if the windows are moving.

Simply commence Opening or Closing the window towards the desired position, and then use the Open or Close button again to Stop the window moving when you reach the desired point.

Note – the Stop function is not available using the App.

  • The Hub has 3 LED indicator lights to indicate its status for Power, Wi-Fi connection, and WAN connection.  By checking the indicators, you can tell if you have power and if you have a connection.

Elevation or Conel retrofit

  • No, the Elevation system is not compatible with the Aeron hardwired system.

  • For Elevation, the existing power supply is 24VDC, which is compatible with the new Aeron system.

    Elevation retrofit instructions

For Conel, the standalone system also uses 24VDC and can power the Aeron actuator. The Conel keypad system, uses 24VAC, this power supply will need to replaced to a 24VDC transformer.

    Conel retrofit instructions

  • No, the Aeron system does not need a network cable.

For a retrofit setup, the system can only be operated by the remote or app.

  • To enable the wall switch, additional wiring will need to be run. Refer to retrofit instructions for details.

    Elevation retrofit instructions

    Conel retrofit instructions

  • Unfortuantely the old system is not wireless capable and is unable to be connected to the Yale Home App.

  • Yes, you can have the existing system running as normal and some/few replaced with Aeron.

Note the two systems will work independently of each other.
