Are the cameras wireless?
Yale WIFI cameras do not require a wire to connect them to the DVR, these cameras do however need to be plugged into a power source (these are not battery powered). Only for the first setup, you need to connect the cameras to the router using the ethernet cable.

Does the DVR have built-in WiFi?
No, you have to connect this directly to the router using an Ethernet cable. However, you can use wifi extenders with an embedded Ethernet port to get an access point closer to your DVR.
How many IP cameras can I add to my Smart WiFi system in total?
The system is designed to support up to 2 Wi-Fi cameras.
Can I link my Yale alarm and Yale CCTV kit together?
The Yale View App can be linked to the Yale Home App for quick access to your camera feed when an alarm event happens. When you download and create an account on Yale View App, a link button will be automatically be created in your Yale Home App.
Can I link a Yale connected Smart Lock and Yale CCTV kit?
No, the Smart WiFi and Smart Wired CCTV do not currently support this feature.

- Enable Yale View to send notifications in your phone settings.
- Enable events in your device- Motion detection, etc should be enabled with a valid time schedule

The number of wired cameras will be limited to the number of channel ports you have on the back of your DVR. The WIFI Kit can support up to 4 additional wired cameras on the DVR.

Yes, all Yale cameras have infrared night vision.

Yes, all Yale Hybrid DVR Hard drive capacity can be upgraded to a maximum of 4TB storage using 1 port SATA HDD.
This feature is not available.
WiFi Cameras will always be set on the first digital channels available (by default 4 and 5 for 4 channel DVR or 9 and 10 for 8 channel DVR). To move the channels Go to “Camera” in the main menu settings:
- Go to CHANNEL TYPE
- Tick (change) channel to IP If you have wired cameras connected to the first 2 channels then tick IP up to the first one after your wired channels. (In this case No.3)
- Click Apply
- Click OK
The system will then restart.

No, although the DVR does supports audio input, to allow the addition of microphones.
