Installing the Yale Access Module - Yale Doorman
This article will help guide you through the steps to install the Yale Access Module into your Yale Doorman.

NOTE: If you have already downloaded the Yale Access Application please select 'SET UP NEW DEVICE' and scan the QR code on the Yale Access Module and the below installation flow will detailed. See section below 'Installing Yale Access Application'
Step-by-step installation guide for Module
Step 1. Remove battery cover
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, loosen the battery cover screw. Slide the cover up and away from the lock.
Step 2. Remove a battery
Remove the batteries from your lock to power it off. Wait approximately 10 seconds for the lock to fully power down.
Step 3. Insert the module
Insert the module below the battery compartment. Make sure it is properly seated in the lock. If you already have a module installed please consult the instructions later in the article.
Step 4. Replace the battery
Power up the lock by replacing any removed batteries.
Step 5. Replacing the battery cover
NOTE: Before replacing the cover you need to scan the QR code of your Yale Access module in the Yale Access application in the 'Set up a new device' section. See section below 'Installing Yale Access Application'
Slide the battery cover down, and tighten the screw.
Step 6. Registering the Module
Follow the below steps to register the Yale Access module with your lock.
Enter the Programming Menu on your lock:
- Open your door and enter #Master Code # on the keypad e.g if your code is 123456 you enter #123456#

You should hear the lock confirm it is in integration mode
This completes the registration process for the module. Next, set up the lock in the Yale Access App.
Installing Yale Access Application
Yale Access devices come with a QR code that can be used to set up the device in the Yale Access App. This code is included on the Yale Access Module and is helpful during setup. If you no longer have a QR code associated with the device, the serial number can be used during setup.
- Open the Yale Access App
- Select the menu in the top-left corner
- Select Set up a Device to access the QR code scanner
- Scan the code. If you are unable to scan it, select Can’t Scan the Code to set up with the Serial Number, which is the 10-digit number located on the sticker inside the battery cover.

Already have a Yale Access Module Installed?
If you already have a radio module installed please follow these steps.
Step 1. Firstly remove the battery cover
Step 2. Remove the batteries and existing module
Step 3. Remove the Internal Body of the Lock
Remove the internal lock body from the fixing plate by unscrewing the screws that are circled.
Step 4. Move the Toggle Switch
Take the toggle switch and move it in the opposite direction of it’s current state. If it is currently in the “EASY” position, move it to “ADVANCED” and vice versa.
Step 5. Reattach the Internal Lock Body
Slide the lock body back onto the fixing plate, and then secure in place with screws that were previously removed.
Step 6. Insert the Module
Insert the Yale Access module into the slot under the battery cover. Make sure it is properly seated in the lock.
Step 7. Replace the Battery
Restore power to the lock by reinserting any batteries that were removed.
Step 8. Replace the Cover
Slide the battery cover down, and tighten the screw. Your lock will speak to confirm it is in Integration Mode. Installation is complete. Please note, any credentials on the lock will be removed and will need to be re-added via the app.
