What type of batteries does the Yale Smart Safe use?
The Yale Smart Safe uses 4xAA Alkaline batteries which are included in the box. The batteries will last approximatly twelve months. It is a advised to change the batteries after twelve months to prevent the risk of the batteries leaking into the battery compartment.
How do I turn the sounds on/off?
Via the Yale Home App, while connected to the Smart Safe, go to Settings > lock settings > Adjust device Voice > Off/High
How many people can I share access to the Yale Smart Safe with?
There is a maximum number of 25 Yale Access app users that can have access to the Safe at the same time.
I do not receive notifications from the Yale Home app, why?
In order to receive notifications for your Yale Smart Safe, you must have the Yale Access Wi-Fi bridge set up with your Safe and Yale Home app.
How is the communication between the Yale Smart Safe and the phone secured?
The Yale Home app and the Yale Smart Safe use multiple levels of encryption technologies to ensure the security of the wireless communication.
