What application should I use with the Yale Smart Opener?
I have a Gate and a Garage door, can I install two Yale Smart Openers in the same home?
Yes, you can add more than one opener to your home. You can have 220 Yale Smart devices linked to the Yale Home application.

What happens if my internet goes down?
Should your internet connectivity go down, you can still operate your Yale Smart Opener via the Yale Home App, provided you are within Bluetooth range of the device. This is because the Yale Smart Opener uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile device, so does not solely rely on Wi-Fi connectivity. Alternatively, you can use the RF key from the garage or door to override to gain access to the property.
How do I access my Yale Smart Opener remotely?
The Yale Home App will seamlessly connect over the best method available, choosing between it's built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi automatically. The icon in the upper right of the Yale Home App lock screen indicates how you are currently connected to your lock.
Apple Watch and Yale Home
If you have an Apple Watch and a Yale Smart Opener connected to the Yale Home app, you can use your Apple Watch to operate the device.
Firstly, ensure that you have installed the Yale Home app on your Apple Watch. You can do this using the "Watch" app on your iPhone.
Open the Yale Home app on your Apple Watch. Tap the green lock circle to unlock. You can also tap the red lock circle to lock.
Notes:
- Remote operations and Auto-Unlock do not work with Apple Watch. The user must be within Bluetooth range.
- Yale Home functionality for Apple Watch is available to device owners only. If you would like to operate your Smart Opener using your Apple Watch, you must be an owner of the device and not a guest.

Updating Firmware
Firmware updates are released periodically, to help improve device performance. When available, firmware updates begin automatically, when an owner connects to their device locally. You can still operate your device via the app during the update.
Firmware updates can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Please be sure to keep your phone near your device, with the Yale Home app open, throughout the whole update.
In order for the firmware to update, you must be within Bluetooth range of the device and have Bluetooth enabled on your phone.

Cannot connect to Yale Smart Opener 'Error Message when creating a personal Entry Code'
Personal entry codes for your Yale Smart Keypad can be created, modified, and deleted from anywhere while remotely connected. Creating, modifying, and deleting entry codes remotely requires a Wi-Fi connection, and the most recent version of the Yale Home App.
Without a Wi-Fi connection, personal entry codes can only be created when you are connected to your Yale Smart Opener via Bluetooth.
What happens if the batteries on the Yale Door Position Sensor run flat?
The Yale Home App will notify you in advance if the batteries are running low (when the batteries are at 25%), giving you an opportunity to replace them before they run out of charge. Should the battery completely run out of charge on the Yale Door Position Sensor, the Yale Smart opener will still continue to function but the state of the door position will not be accurate.
When the battery percentage is lower than 5% the LED will blink twice at 10 second intervals .
How do I find my Yale Smart Opener serial number?
You can find your Smart Opener serial number using the Yale Home App.
Note: The serial number is also printed on the back of the Smart Opener module itself, starting with the prefix SN.
- Open the Yale Home app.
- Select your device and then the settings icon.
- Scroll down to "Device Information" and select.
- The serial number will be dispalyed here.
