If the Yale Smart Opener needs to be installed outdoors for example on a gate, in these applications please ensure to place the componantents inside of a weatherproof box.

The Door Position Sensor (DPS) is set up in the Yale Home application. Go to SET UP Device and scan the QR code, follow the steps to add the device. To activate the DPS, remove the cover on the rear of the unit, press the button for 3 seconds. The LED on the front of the unit will flash 10 times,close the cover and install the unit on your door or gate.
