Yale Wi-Fi Bridges display its current status through an LED indicator light on the front of the device. This page will help you determine the status displayed by the LED indicator and provide troubleshooting steps that can be taken to improve functionality.

General Troubleshooting

Yale Wi-Fi Bridges use Bluetooth to communicate with your Smart Lock. If you’re experiencing poor communication between your Yale Smart Lock and Yale Wi-Fi Bridge, try the following steps for best results:

1. Check Bluetooth Range:

Ensure your Yale Wi-Fi Bridge is within Bluetooth range of your Smart Lock.

Recommended distances:

  • Yale Connect: Less than 4 meters
  • Yale ConnectX: Less than 10 meters

2. Check Smart Lock Batteries:

Make sure the batteries in your Yale Smart Lock have sufficient power. Replace them if needed.

3. Test Local App Control:

Stand near your Yale Wi-Fi Bridge and use the Yale Home App to operate your Smart Lock in normal mode (not remote connect mode). This confirms local connectivity.

4. Verify Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure your Yale Wi-Fi Bridge has a strong Wi-Fi connection and access to the internet.
  • Make sure your home network is online and stable.

5. Restart Devices if Needed:

If issues persist, unplug the Yale Wi-Fi Bridge from the power socket, restart your home’s Wi-Fi router, then plug the Bridge back in.
