Emergency Power Supply
The smart locks feature an emergency power supply via a USB-C 5V port located on the outside handle. This port is designed exclusively for emergency use when the lock’s batteries are completely depleted, allowing temporary power to unlock the door using a USB-C cable and power source.
RFID key tag
RFID key tags are one of five secure access methods allowing users to unlock the door with a simple tap of a programmed proximity key tag. RFID credentials can be added or removed either directly at the lock (standalone) or via the Yale Home app for remote management and guest access. A convenient keyless entry option alongside PIN codes, fingerprint and mechanical key override.
