The Yale Alarm app is compatible with iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
The app is available on the Apple app Store or Google Play.
Download the Yale Alarm app from the links below.
Open the Yale Alarm app and select Register a new system.
Select Start Installation Wizard, the Installation Wizard will assist you in setting up your Yale Alarm system. If you have user credentials already, you can choose to skip the wizard and log in directly.
Connect the Yale Alarm hub to an Ethernet cable, slide the battery backup switch to the on position, plug in the power supply, and allow 30 seconds for the hub to power on. Once the LED on the alarm hub has turned green select Done.
Continue with the in-app installation wizard to register your Yale Alarm by entering your Alarm hub serial number and credentials.
Top Tip - Tap the QR code icon to open the in-app QR scanner, the alarm hub serial number and QR code can be found on the sticker on the back of the alarm hub.
Example:
You cannot create a Yale Alarm app account without a physical product.
When registering a Yale Alarm for the first time in the Yale Alarm app, on step 3 of the in-app installation wizard, you are required to enter an email address, phone number, and password in order to set up a Yale Alarm account.
These details will become the credentials for your Yale Alarm app account.
When setting up a Yale Alarm for the first time, as part of the Yale Alarm in-app setup wizard, you are given the opportunity to register alarm devices such as door contacts and motion sensors.
Devices that are pre-linked to the alarm hub will be automatically listed and allow you to give them a name once onboarded.
Alternatively, you have the option to add an alarm device at a later time.
To add an alarm device, such as a Motion or Door/Window contact sensor:
In the Yale Alarm app, open the main Menu and select Add Device, followed by I'm adding an alarm device.
On the next screen, select Activate Learning Mode, the Yale Alarm hub will now be searching for devices to add, during this stage, press the Learn Button on the device.

The Yale Alarm hub will beep when the device is learnt to the system, you also have the option to name your device (for example, named garage in the image below).
Select Add this device to complete the process.
