The Yale Smart Code Handle will fit most of the standard patio doors and windows, fitted with an espagnolette, with 90 to 180 degrees handle rotation for operation.
Note - the Yale Smart Code Handle is not compatible with deadbolt lock cases.
You will need a smartphone with the Yale Home app installed. The Yale Home app is required to configure the Yale Smart Code Handle.
Upon scanning the QR code to first set up the Yale Smart Code Handle, you will be able to follow the step-by-step installation instructions in the Yale Home app.
Tools required is a PZ2 Pozidrive screwdriver and a hacksaw.

For remote connectivity when away from the Lock, WiFi will be required.
You can connect the Yale Smart Code handle via Bluetooth to a Yale WiFi Bridge which is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi Network.
For offline use, connect directly via Bluetooth, this will allow you to operate the lock locally when within Bluetooth Range. (Up to 15m)
The Yale Smart Code Handle is powered by 2 x Alkaline AAA batteries, once the batteries are installed, the Yale Smart Code Handle automatically powers on and is ready for pairing.
The battery lifetime is dependent on the number of turns per locking, the smoothness of the opening, the number of openings per day, and signal strength.
Based on normal usage, the battery will last up to 9 months.
The QR-code and serial number can be found on the label on the inside of the battery cover or on the box.
Once onboarded in the Yale Home app, the serial number will then be available in the device information page.
