If you are one of these customers we thank you for your continued support. If you’re new to the brand or somehow missed the messaging, here are all the benefits of our app, as well as the many ways it can uniquely help you control some of the most popular products within our Yale Smart Security Ecosystem.

Benefits of the app

The Yale Home app gives you complete control over your entire Yale Smart Security Ecosystem, through an easy-to-navigate dashboard. Multi-house support is also available within the app, allowing you to control devices across multiple properties using a single account for smarter, more efficient monitoring. With remote features like locking and unlocking doors or arming and disarming your system, the app ensures you can manage your security from anywhere. Additionally, smart activity feeds and real-time alerts sent directly to your phone keep you informed about all access and movement within and around your home.

Our entire Yale Smart Security Ecosystem, including the new Linus® Smart Lock L2, Yale Smart Alarm, Smart Camera Range and Smart Video Doorbell, as well as the Smart Storage range, and the Smart Gate and Garage Opener, are designed to be easily controlled using a single app, the Yale Home app. Certain devices from Yale partners can also be integrated, to create a fully functional and connected smart home that is easier to control, for security made simple. Now let's look at the specific benefits the app brings to various Yale devices.

Linus® Smart Lock L2 

Control over some of the most essential security features of the Linus® Smart Lock L2 through the Yale Home app. With Linus® L2, you can easily share virtual keys or codes with trusted friends and family, or grant them access to your home at the touch of a button within the app by locking or unlocking your door remotely.

You can also set your smart lock to automatically lock when you leave, and unlock as soon as you arrive home, with the ability to double-check the status of your door at any time within the app. For a more convenient and personal security experience, the Linus® L2 lets you schedule your lock to lock & unlock at a certain time.

For example, in the evening you can set all of the smart locks in your house to lock, meaning that you can be certain that the house has automatically made itself secure when you go to bed at night, for ultimate peace of mind.

 

Yale Smart Alarm

The Yale Home app also helps you unlock smarter monitoring with your Yale Smart Alarm. Within the app, you can control and monitor up to 4 areas individually, to arm, part arm, or disarm specific areas of your home at any point to suit your specific needs.

For example, if you are working from home in an upstairs office, you can arm the alarm for downstairs or garage, for enhanced security. Advanced services like Cellular Backup Communication and Automated Call Alerts are also available through a subscription plan and can be easily activated and managed via the Yale Home app.

Smart Camera and Doorbell

Our range of Yale Smart Cameras and Smart Video Doorbells offer real-time motion notifications and recording options, with live HD video feeds that can be viewed and reviewed within the Yale Home app. Both the Smart Camera range and Smart Video Doorbell also come with built-in AI capabilities for human detection, as well as other features including customisable detection zones, for no additional cost.

With customisable detection zones, you can define specific areas you want your camera to cover to reduce the levels of alerts sent to your phone. Using the app, you can see, hear and speak back to visitors and loved ones, and interact with visitors using the Outdoor Smart Camera and Smart Video Doorbell.

With the Smart Video Doorbell, you can also open the door for a visitor thanks to interactions with Linus® L2 within the app. Other AI features such as vehicle, pet and parcel detection, as well as Cloud Recording options, are also available through a subscription plan which can be accessed and activated within the app.

    The Yale Smart Alarm is simple to set up and use, with hassle-free installation. The Yale Alarm is designed to protect properties of any size, both inside and out, by preventing any potential threats before they even occur. With the Yale Home app, you can control and monitor 4 areas of your home independently, and multiple properties with no need to switch accounts to make multi-home security simpler.  Tailor your home security alarm system to your unique needs.  Benefit from a protection range spanning 1km, thanks to Yale Horizon+ Technology. Perimeter security can be further bolstered by utilizing a combination of  the alarm system accessories like Indoor and Outdoor motion detectors and Yale Smart Cameras for enhanced outdoor surveillance.

    The Smart Alarm works seamlessly with our other Yale smart products, leading voice assistants and Philips Hue smart Lighting for a complete Smart Security System experience. The subscription plan offers cellular communication, available as a backup or primary communication to connect your system even if your internet is down, as well as Automated Call Alert, where up to three people can receive a phone call in the event of an alarm activation.

The Smart Video Doorbell offers you a crisp 1080p Full HD image, a 154° field of view, two-way audio talk, live viewing, and night vision for clear footage that can be viewed 24/7 in the Yale Home app. The Yale Doorbell is easy to set up and use and powered by a built-in rechargeable or wired-powered solution. 

    Receive detailed notifications in real-time whenever motion is detected, and a “call” once visitors press the doorbell, to never miss a delivery or guest again. As part of the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem, when the Smart Doorbell is rung, you can check who is at your door using the Yale Home app and if safe, can unlock your door using your Yale Smart Lock to let them in. 

    The Smart Video Doorbell also offers additional monitoring features such as human detection Al, and customisable privacy zones & scheduling.     The Yale Smart Outdoor Camera is easy to use with hassle-free installation. This smart outdoor security camera will deter any potential burglars, offering you a crisp 1080p Full HD image, 154° field of view, motion-triggered recordings, a two-way audio talk feature, enhanced colour night vision, and a spotlight that can be triggered when motion is detected. 

    You can also see what's happening at home from anywhere in the world in the Yale Home app, with the option to record videos or capture images to review and save at any time locally or in the cloud. With customisable detection zones & scheduling, you can define specific areas you want your camera to cover and use motion scheduling to exclude notification triggers from regular occurrences such as your car pulling into your driveway in the evening after work.
