Setting Up Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge

Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge serves as a bridge between our Servers and your Smart Lock so you can lock and unlock your Smart Lock remotely, right from your phone. With a Yale Bridge, you can instantly let visitors into your home when you're not there.

Before Setting Up

  • Make sure your mobile device has Wi-Fi turned on (Settings > Wi-Fi)
  • Make sure your mobile device is connected to your home Wi-Fi network (Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge is compatible with 2.4 gHZ Wi-Fi) 
  • The Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge requires an active Yale Smart Lock and needs to be installed using a compatible phone (Android or iOS)

How to Install Your Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge

1.      Plug in the Bridge:
For best performance, plug your Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge into a power socket within 15 feet of your Yale Smart Lock. Ideally, choose a socket on an opposite or adjacent wall.

2.      Check the LED Indicator: 
Wait for the green light on your Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge to start flashing.

  • If you don’t see a flashing green light, press and hold the button on the Bridge for 5 seconds.

3.      Set Up in the Yale Home App:

  • Open the Yale Home App.
  • Tap the + icon in the top right corner.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
  • Select the lock you want to associate with your Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge.

4.      Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • When prompted, select your home Wi-Fi network and enter your password.
  • Once connected, the app will check your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal strength.
  • If the signal is strong, you’re almost done!
  • If the signal is weak, the app will guide you to reposition your Bridge for better connectivity.

5.      Troubleshooting:

6.      Understanding LED Indicators:

  • The LED lights on the front of your Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge show its current status.
